Title: Things to Remember
Word Count: 190
Description: Just an idea I had for a story, I thought it may have potential :)
I’ll tell you, there’s nothing like taking a walk in Paris on a warm night. Nothing can compare to that electric spark in the air. The lights glowing, outlining the city with lovers in romance. I would stay here forever if I could, but I couldn’t. Life wouldn’t always be this intense.
Walking under the Eiffel tower at twilight, a soft breeze blew past. It was a cool breeze, raising every small hair on my arm, yet the night’s air kept my skin warm. I sat on a bench at the edge of tower and pulled out my overused composition notebook. There was nothing particularly special about this book. It was ripping gently at the seams, but I carried it everywhere I went.
I chewed on the top of my purple pen cap, thinking of what to write. Slowly, I traced across the first line: things to remember. Underneath it, I wrote:
life is often unpredictable
it is better to dream big than to not dream at all
when in doubt always look to the sky
don’t be afraid to scream
and above all; remember to love.
